Cornwallis Crescent West

Cornwallis Crescent West

Hidden behind the Crescent’s buildings and its high boundary wall, the garden is always a surprise to visitors. It’s the best part of an acre, faces due south and is sheltered from the north – making it ideal for tender plants and sun-worshippers alike. It consists of three lawns, two of which were once tennis courts, and ‘the woods’ which slope steeply down to the boundary wall on Polygon Lane.

It is maintained by the residents who are invited to help for a few hours on the first Sunday of each month.

The garden will be open on Saturday and Sunday 11-5. Refreshment will be served.

Sunday: Tea on the Terrace 2-5pm Chamber music: wind quintet will play two sets between 2-4pm

Access is from Polygon Lane.
